{"id":402,"date":"2020-02-24T23:15:58","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T23:15:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grandmanorhoa.com\/?p=402"},"modified":"2020-02-25T00:01:54","modified_gmt":"2020-02-25T00:01:54","slug":"first-hoa-meeting-of-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grandmanorhoa.com\/index.php\/2020\/02\/24\/first-hoa-meeting-of-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"First HOA Meeting of 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Date: Feb 15 2020 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hi Everyone,<br>Our annual HOA meeting was held this morning from 10am &#8211; 11:30am.&nbsp; We only had 6 homeowners attend, which is a disappointing&nbsp;turnout &#8211; hopefully&nbsp;we can improve on this turnout for future meetings, or we will need to transition the HOA over to outside management and substantially increase our annual dues.&nbsp; We really need the participation and help of all members of our community!<br>Please note that today is the<strong>&nbsp;last day to turn in 2020 HOA dues of $150<\/strong>&nbsp;without incurring a $20 late fee!&nbsp; Please put your dues check in the mailbox of 292 Grand Manor Drive or Zelle your payment to 225-241-4383.&nbsp; Any dues received after 2\/15 should include the $20 late fee ($170 total).<br>Please find notes and action items from today&#8217;s meeting below:<strong>Below are the results of this year&#8217;s HOA board election:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President &#8211; Aaron Villareal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VP &#8211; TBD (Need to fill this position &#8211; any volunteers?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Treasurer &#8211; Scott Mannear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secretary &#8211; TBD (Need to fill this position &#8211; any volunteers?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social &#8211; Sarah Mannear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Architecture &#8211;&nbsp; Shirl Cusick, Kathi Urban, Eddie Concha<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Issues Discussed and Action Items;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Only 6 homeowners showed up &#8211; we need more participation or we will move management to outside company and daily HOA dues will increase dramatically.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Homeowners would like to replace wooden fence at  entrance to GM.  Expected budget is $3,500 &#8211; $4,000 for a new wooden fence<ul><li>Fence will either be painted white or stained<\/li><li><strong>Action Item<\/strong>: Shirl Cusick will be getting quotes for the new fence<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Homeowners would like to update the flowers\/bushes at the front of GM, so that they are evergreen.  <ul><li>Decision was made to get bed at front of GM tilled and have rose bushes installed.<\/li><li><strong>Action Item<\/strong>: Hamid Lavassani to get roses quoted and installed and have Roberto install and till<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Homeowners would like for front gate to be decorated for holidays throughout the year.<ul><li><strong>Action Item<\/strong>: Shirl Cusick to be in charge of decorations for holidays<ul><li>Humphrey Urban and&nbsp;Scott&nbsp;Mannear to assist as needed<\/li><li>Any homeowners who have old HOA decorations, please reply to this email with what you currently have.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Some Homeowners may want to replace their mailboxes<ul><li><strong>Action Item<\/strong>: Shirl Cusick will see if she can find contact information for company that can replace any mailboxes for interested homeowners.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Homeowners want to explore unifying our garbage\/recycling services for all homes in the neighborhood in order to reduce cost and only have one day of garbage pickup for the neighborhood<ul><li><strong>Action Item:<\/strong> Hamid Lavassani to get quote from Custom Disposal<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Homeowners would like to have a &#8220;Dead End&#8221; sign added to front of neighborhood to discourage through traffic.<ul><li><strong>Action Item:<\/strong> Aaron Villarreal will get Cobb DOT to get sign installed<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>General Announcements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Solar Panels &#8211; Check it out!<\/li><li>Let&#8217;s keep our neighborhood safe!<ul><li>Please don&#8217;t leave ladders out, which could be used for break-ins on your second floor.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Please keep outdoor lights on during the night to ensure a bright space, which will discourage our homes from being targeted from crime<\/li><li>Please keep your speed below the speed limit in our neighborhood &#8211;
